Because, despite the otherwise-craziness of this summer, childhood and warm weather both pass too quickly to not stop and enjoy them.

  1. Lovely! Please could you spare a bit of summer for me? There have been floods over here (luckily we are not affected) but the weather is damp and miserable. It's funny, I only remember long, hot summers from my childhood!

  4. Clare - Oh, goodness. I'm glad you are not personally affected by the flooding, although I feel for those who are. There has been a definite shift in weather patterns over the last thirty years--anyone who denies it has their head in the sand. All the more reason for us to try and do our part to curb global warming! I hope you get some sun soon!

    Dawn - I loved that one, too. Not sure how impressed Jay will be that I posted it, though!
