Pre-emptive Strike

"Would you like some tea?" I ask my husband. It is after lunch, and I decide that a cuppa something warm and creamy is just what I'm needing to kick the drag I am feeling.

Jason looks over from where he is emptying the dishwasher, thinks about it for a second, then says, "No." A pause. "But once I see you drinking it, then I probably will."

"So, should I just get it ready now, then?" I am already reaching for his favourite mug.

  1. A classic piece of marital dialogue! What I wouldn't give to get a simple "sure, I'd love some!" on questions regarding snacking - unless I get an outright "no", every other response I take as a yes. For example...
    "I don't know"
    "didn't we just eat supper?"
    "is that all we've got?"

  2. Yup........

    Also, I got a pop-up again today.
    Love you!

  3. Haha, Mark would so agree with you on this. 'Ace always says no and then has some. Now, she has started saying No but it will look good when it is done so I will certainly have some then' Will show this to him tonight.
